A difficult par 4. Where the fairway is cut in a dogleg to the left
there is a large rough grass bank in a direct line to the green and
not the recommended route to take. Out of bounds again on the right.
Large flat bunker guards the left side of the green to deter anyone
playing into the 18th fairway.
11th Muir – 277 yards Par 4
A short walk is required from the 10th green past the clubhouse to
the 11th tee. This green is very much in range and should yield plenty
birdies and possibly the odd eagle. Narrow entrance to the green guarded
by two bunkers. The cleverly contoured green means that the second
shot must be carefully considered.
12th Plateau – 283 yards Par 4
As named the green is situated on a plateau and guarded at the front
edge by two deep pot style bunkers. Played well, this hole should
give you a good chance of a birdie.
13th Sandy Bank – 147 yards Par 3
A flat par 3 with sandy links style fairway. The flat green is well
protected with four bunkers that are all short of the green. Make
sure your tee shot is up
14th Port – 379 yards Par 4
Drive downhill from an elevated tee avoiding the gorse on both sides
of the fairway. On the right beyond the gorse is out of bounds. This
hole then climbs to a green that slopes from back to front. Avoid
the deep bunkers short and to the left of the green.
15th Gollachy – 214 yards Par 3
An intimidating hole where you stand on an elevated tee and drive
over a valley filled with gorse and thick bushes with the added hazard
of out of bounds on the right. The green is fairly flat and an accurate
tee shot should ensure your par. The view from the tee is spectacular.
16th Long – 534 yards Par 5
As the hole suggests this is a par 5 that requires a very accurate
drive to a narrow fairway bordered on both sides by bushes. The hole
open out for the second and third shots and unusually for this course
there are no fairway bunkers. Beware the bunkers to the right and
left hand side of a flat green.
17th Arradoul – 300 yards Par 4
Everybody will stand up and think that this green can be driven but
it very much depends on the wind direction. There are two deep bunkers
straight across the middle of the fairway to catch anything short.
Should be a fairly easy par 4.
18th Home – 415 yards Par 4
Drive to a fairly flat open fairway with no bunkers. The tricky part
of this hole is the second shot with a long or mid iron dependant
on the wind to a two tier elongated green which has deep bunkers on
the right and left hand sides halfway down the green. This makes it
a difficult green to hit especially if the pin is on the upper level
