I stated at the 2008 AGM, that I would compile a Monthly Report on the standing of the Golf Club and to appraise everyone of what is happening. I will start at the election of the Council.

The fixture list for the coming season is nearly complete and will be distributed before the end of February.
I would like to take this opportunity to dispel some rumours that are going around the Club at present. Firstly, we were carrying out a feasibility study on the building of a new Clubhouse. This was solely a paper exercise, so that the Council could report to the members and explain in detail the work that is being carried out.
The second rumour is the construction of a new hole or holes, to create a practice area. Again, we had tentative discussions with different people, but having taken all information into account, it was decided not to take this further.
The work on the Course is progressing well and will be ready for the new season. We thank all the members for adhering to the winter rules and using the rough or mats whilst playing. I look forward to the new season and the challenges that lay ahead. Be reassured, that the Council will not risk the stability of the Club and will work on your behalf to ensure the best facilities and the best course.
